Sporting clays

Two courses. A typical round is 100 clays.

770-yard rifle range
$60 per four-hour block. Mondays and Tuesdays, by appointment only in select blocks. Qualification required. Call 904-819-9868.

Take the railroad crossing across from the St. Augustine Airport / Northrop Grumman building. Follow Big Oak Road to the end, approximately 1.4 miles, and enter the gate on the right.
Before you head out
Bring your equipment. Bring your own rifles, pistols and archery equipment; rentals for those disciplines are not available. Shotgun rentals are available on-site for use on the clays ranges only.
Targets and supplies. Complete target setups and reactive target options are available for purchase on-site.
Eye and ear protection. Required for shooters and observers on the range. Available for purchase or rental if needed.
Closed-toe shoes required. No sandals, flip-flops or other open-toe footwear. Visitors wearing open-toe shoes will not be permitted to use the ranges.
Youth are welcome. Minors must have a parent or guardian present.
Check in before entering any range or bay. Rifle, pistol and archery: the RSO shack marked “Rifle, Pistol Check-In.” Shotgun sports: the Saltwaters office (Camo Building).
Safety comes first. Follow staff instructions and read the complete range safety rules.
Public hours: Wednesday–Sunday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.. Closed Monday and Tuesday for normal public operations.
Do I need a membership?
No. The ranges are open to the public for a daily usage fee.
Do you take reservations?
Normal public range use is first come, first served. The 770-yard range requires qualification and advance arrangements.
What happens in bad weather?
The club continues operating in rain when there is no nearby lightning. During lightning storms, visitors must move to covered areas. Excessive flooding may require closure.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes. Gift certificates are available for purchase on-site only, for ranges, sporting clays, memberships and merchandise.
